Sept and October update

by

Hey guess what? There’s a shortage of ukes in the world! Yes, so says the Wall Street Journal no less, and apparently we are the New Hipsters. Thanks to Chris C for link.

Hope you enjoyed last Tuesday – the random New Zealanders thought we were great and “a nice bunch of people”.

Remember to email me if you can make it for Semaphore Music Festival – so we know numbers AND I can keep you up to date with arrangements. Our gig is 11am on Sunday 3 October on the foreshore. You can bring family and friends too! and there’ll be plenty of great activities all weekend

The song list is
Folsom Prison Blues
Honolulu Rock-a Roll-a
Flowers On The Wall
You Ain’t Goin’ Nowhere
Bye Bye Love
Fisherman’s Blues
Hey Soul Sister
These Boots Are Made For Walkin’

We’ll have a good go at Hey Soul Sister, Honolulu Rock-a Roll-a and Bye Bye Love on 28 September, and refine the others. The song sheets are all up on Richard G’s site, and each has a link to the youtube clip so you can listen and play along. You can also see Richard in ambassadorial role with Californian ukers here
