It’s a wrap

Limelight wrapped up a great 2010 for AUAS. If you weren’t there, put on some uke music and watch the slide show and you’ll kind-of get the gist of what occurred. I do hope Elley’s rendition of I can’t wait to get my claws into Santa becomes an annual tradition.

And those of you who missed the tram-and-Hilton event, there are pix here.

It’s been a great year! We’ll take a break from formalities in January: though Tuesday 11, 18 and 25 January are drop-in nights from 7pm at the Gov. Bring your uke and a song sheet and make your own fun. In fact, you could work out something fab to play at our first 2011 event – the Front Bar Gig on Friday 28 January.

If you need some more uke before Christmas, catch The Joans at The Wheaty this Sunday – that clever Di Caught is bound to crack out her uke at some stage in the gig.

And let’s take a moment to play a big four-string thank you

To all our special guest artists this year – Andrew Bunney, Michael Liddle, Di Caught, Don Morrison, Richard Gibson and Pete McLaughlin

To our home base – the Gov and all who sail in her, the Tonkin family and the staff.

To James, Rosalie, the two Richards, Brian, Phil and Rob, for teaching, leading, inspiring and MCing

To the many music festivals that invited us to perform – some for the second and third time!

To Ian, Helen and Jeff for many excellent photos of us in action – you make us look fantastic.

To Syliva and Terry for great cakes, flags and exemplary tram leadership

Have a great break and see you on the other side of Christmas
